BGE Radio and Television interviewed Blair Corbett, founder of Ark of Hope For Children and Removing Chains Survivor Support Site. @BGE_Radio President Colethea Jenkins truly did her homework about us and helped draw out the important aspects of what we do to provide hope for survivors of child abuse and human trafficking. Thank you for making me feel right at home Colethea.
Ark of Hope thanks Ja’Mille Wilborn for arranging this interview. Ja’mille, Program Director for BGE Radio and founder of Soulcial Media Evolutions, came to know about our work through our causes and many social network connections. Listen in below!
Every day myself, Ark of Hope for Children and amazing volunteers at www.RemovingChains.org are 'Reaching out into the darkness' for young and old survivors of the many child abuses that are in need of hope and love. PLEASE support is so we can maintain though 2013 and beyond.
~Blair Corbett, Executive Director, Ark of Hope for Children
Once rescued from the horrors of child trafficking or child abuse, physical relief can be found. But the emotional torture and enslavement does stop with intervention. On Giving Tuesday 2013, and every other day of the year your giving and volunteerism can now have an enormous impact on those rescued from human trafficking, child abuse and bullying.
Across the U.S. and around the world tens of thousands suffer in silence with the after effects of severe child abuse, child trafficking, religious and institutional abuse, bullying and other forms of victimization. These effects can last a lifetime including extreme fears, night terrors, flashbacks, PTSD and a host of emotional disorders. Thousands have no idea where to turn or who to trust, lacking support of any kind.
Ark of Hope for Children and our Removing Chains survivors support network join in association with #OpScarecrow for the advancement of the following work to protect all innocent and vulnerable children on Facebook:
Facebook is rampant with child sexual abuse content, child exploitation material, online child predators, harassment, stalking and cyber-bullying of minors and various other forms of predatory activities targeting minors.
Project for Healing Humanity and founder Fernanda Mejia Varnamkhasti began online vigils to promote unity and healing for victims of abuse and their families in early 2012. In cooperation with technical and leadership help from Blair Corbett and Ark of Hope for Children, PfHH hosted all of the following original live vigils using Google+ Live Hangouts. PfHH has handed off future vigils for survivors of abuse to Ark of Hope for Children due to our passionate service to and for survivors of abuse through RemovingChains.org and our UnChained Project.
